Is massage therapy safe for someone diagnosed with terminal or chronic illness?

The gentle and appropriately adjusted massage is safe for clients who have been diagnosed with a chronic or end stage terminal illness. In fact, massage therapy can support the person throughout all stages of their respective illness.

Can you help treat treminal or chronic illnesses?

Massage can reduce pain and anxiety for people with chronic illnesses, such as cancer, and reduce the physiological burden of stress. It can help treat conditions including stress-related tension, cancer-related fatigue, sleep disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, low back pain and depression, just to name a few. Massage therapy, in its many forms, is considered an excellent preventative and complementary treatment for many chronic conditions including arthritis, fibromyalgia, back pain, bursitis, premenstrual syndrome and menstrual cramping, and asthma.

Do you treat patients with severe health problems?

Regular massage therapy can help reduce stress, anxiety, and pain in HIV and AIDS patients, and works as a compliment to their medication treatments. Also, some of the benefits of frequent massages for lupus patients include joint pain relief, relaxation, and better sleep. Joint pain seems to increase at night, so painful nights are not uncommon for lupus patients. If you let the massage therapist work on your tummy she could even help with digestive issues.

How will my first massage be?

Once I arrive at your home, I will begin setup in the designated area I am directed to. Massage table, sheets, oils, and towels will be provided. The typical session is an hour long, unless otherwise discussed, and is a full body treatment: head to toe.

What do I wear during the massage?

Unless its a sports massage, clients are asked to dress down to their level of comfort. Most times, that means derobing to your undergarments. If you are comfortable being nude, that is acceptable as well granted you will be fully draped throughout the session.

Explain "Draping".

Draping refers to how the sheet or towel is arranged on your body to cover you throughout the massage. Only the body part being worked on will be exposed and only one body part will be worked on at a given time. The table will be dressed with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and a warm fleece blanket.

How do I secure my booking?

A 50% deposit is required to make an appointment. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Cashapp, PayPal, Zelle, Quickpay, Square Cash, and Cash. After deposit is received, a confimation text or email will be sent to verify your name, address and time of your appointment.

Will I be charged if I cancel?

If you cancel 24 hour in advance from the time of your scheduled appointment, you will not be charged. You will be refunded your deposit in the same form it was received. If you cancel, within 24 hours, you will forfeit your deposit. If you would like to reschedule, you can do so within one week without penalty. After that week, if your appointment has not been rescheduled, you will forfeit your deposit.
